Hardness Sequestering is a multi level reaction. There exist 2 different types of sequestering which occur. The first is sequestering of hardness that is coming into solution from the water source naturally and the second is hardness that is coming into solution from distribution. In either case, SeaQuest will disperse and sequester these types of hardness into a non scaling state. This means that when SeaQuest is added to the water at the source, water at the tap will act soft and be non scaling regardless of its source hardness. It also means soft like water regardless of pH level, time that the water has been in use, or the temperature of the water. SeaQuest sequesters hardness at a 200:1 ratio. This means that for every 200 parts per million of total hardness in the water, there needs to be one part per million of SeaQuest.
